An Oregon man was jailed with his bail set at $11,000 after a call went in to the Alaska State Troopers reporting a man slumped over the wheel at a Wasilla gas station on Monday night, the trooper dispatch reported.
Troopers responded to the Wasilla area service station at 8:50 pm on Monday night after receiving a report of “a man slumped over the wheel of a blue 1997 GMC pick-up truck,” troopers say. As a result of the investigation at the scene, 23-year-old Oregon resident Douglas Sharp, was placed under arrest.
Sharp was found to be in possession of heroin and methamphetamine. He was charged with Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV x2, Driving Under the Influence-Drugs, and Driving While License Suspended.
Sharp was transported to Palmer where he was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility on $11,000 bail.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
