Port Heiden Man Arrested for School Burglary

alaska crimew-cuffsA Port Heiden man was arrested on Burglary charges on Saturday stemming from the September 1 break-in that occurred at the Meshik school there.

After an almost three week investigation by the troopers, 18-year-old James Jared christiansen was arrested on September 20th on charges of Burglary II, Criminal Trespass II, and Theft III.

The trooper investigation found that after Christiansen broke into the school, he commenced to steal a hand-carved ivory pipe valued at $300.

Troopers transported Christiansen to the King Salmon Jail where he was remanded with no bail.
