Alaska State Troopers have tentatively identified the remains found near Lakeshore Loop in Palmer on Friday to those of a Anchorage man missing since October 5th of last year.
Although the body has not been forensically confirmed to be that of Shanon Lovell, clothing as well as a tattoo on the remains bring the troopers to believe it is him.

The 30-year-old Anchorage man was last seen at a Palmer residence at approximately midnight of October 5th leaving on foot. He was never heard from again.
The case baffled investigators for months and missing posters for the man circulated online looking for infformation on his whereabouts.
The State Medical Examiner’s office in Anchorage took possession of the body and conducted an autopsy. The autopsy did not show any signs of foul play in Lovell’s death.
The investigation will continue in an attempt to determine the cause and circumstances of his death.
Next of kin has been notified.
