Anchorage police as well as SWAT have responded to the Ginami Street/ Upper Huffman area after it was reported that shot were fired at workers in the area.

Police responded to the 1200 block of Ginami Street just before 9:30 am on Wednesday morning and reported that no injuries were reported.

According to Anchorage Police, a resident on that block fired shots as a tree trimming crew from Carlos Tree Service was clearing brush for the Chugach Electric Company along the power-lines.

Anchorage Swat responded to the scene a short time later.

Currently, there is little else to report in this on-going barricade situation.

Motorists and pedestrians are advised to avoid the area.
