In a unanimous vote the Republicans, have decided at they summer meeting, to boycott CNN and NBC during the 2016 presidential primaries because of what they claim is media bias for Hillary Clinton. They did so because of biopic movies scheduled to be created and run in 2014 and 2015.
RNC chairman Reince Priebus earlier criticized the two TV networks for their decision to produce and run the biopics. He pledged that neither station would be allowed to host future primary debates unless they dropped their plans for the films.

At the Republican National meeting on Friday, Priebus said, “It’s the right thing to do for our voters. They’re not going to get a real debate of substance if it’s run by a network who wants to help out Hillary Clinton.”
The miniseries scheduled to run on NBC stars Diane Lane is being produced by its entertainment division, that company points out that NBC News has no involvement with the project.
CNN defended their position on what they called a non-fiction look at the life of the first lady and Secretary of State that will be run in theaters before airing on TV. “Instead of making premature decisions about a project that is in the very early stages of development and months from completion, we would encourage the members of the Republican National Committee to reserve judgment until they know more.” CNN has said.
Clinton, who stepped down from her position as Secretary of State, has not as yet made a decision as to whether she will run for the presidency in the next presidential election.
