Searchers continue to look for a snow machine driver that departed Kiana for Selawik at 4 pm on Sunday afternoon.
Kotzebue Search and Rescue notified the Alaska State Troopers of an overdue rider, identified as 28-year-old Jared Wlaker, driving an Arctic cat 1100 XF, who did not arrive as scheduled at 10 pm on Sunday night.
Calls went out to Selawik, Noorvik and Kotzebue to homes where he would likely visit, but no one had seen him.
Hasty Response teams from Kiana and Selawik were approved to ride the trails in search of the missing Walker, but were unsuccessful in locating him.
Alaska State Troopers were dispatched in aircraft to search for the missing driver, but they too were unsuccessful in locating the missing traveler.
As of 4 pm Monday afternoon, teams from Kotzebue, Noorvik, Kiana and Selawik are still searching for the missing driver and still are unsuccessful in locating him.
