Alaska State Troopers are requesting information from the public in their search for a 64-year-old Nikiski woman who was last seen on November 9th.
64-year-old Sharon Eileen Berghone, was last seen at her home on Romanov Street on the evening of November 9th. Berghone utilizes a walker and carries an oxygen tank with her, troopers inform.
On Tuesday, the day after she had been last seen, a missing person’s briefing board was distributed advising local law enforcement of her disappearance. A state-wide missing person’s bulletin was also issued.
Searches were conducted by troopers on Wednesday, covering her property area. Her neighbors were contacted, as were local hospitals and various other agencies in an effort to locate her. A Silver Alert was requested and issued for Berghone and she was added to the Anchorage reader boards.
Troopers, along with Nikiski Fire and search equipment, once again responded to Berghone’s property, and conducted a more thorough search, but again the search ended with negative results.
