SITKA, March 12, 2012 — The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) Behavioral Health Division announced the hiring of Jeff Arndt, LPC, CDC II, as a behavioral health clinician with theGunaanastí Bill Brady Healing Center/Déilee Hít Safe Harbor House adult residential substance abuse treatment programs in Sitka.

“Gunaanastí Bill Brady Healing Center/Déilee Hít Safe Harbor House are very excited to be bringing in Jeff Arndt as a behavioral health therapist,” said Stewart Pook, Gunaanastí Bill Brady Healing Center/Déilee Hít Safe Harbor House program manager. “Jeff is filling a key position with our team and will be providing clinical care for the clients we serve and additional clinical supervision for our chemical dependency counselors. He joins our existing therapist, Beverly Rivard, LCSW, MAC, and Chemical Dependency Clinical Supervisor Christeen Thomas. We are grateful for this new addition to our team.”

Jeff holds a Master of Science degree in counseling psychology from Alaska Pacific University. Before moving to Sitka, Jeff served as a counselor and executive director for Alaska Human Services, an outpatient substance abuse program in Anchorage. Jeff also formerly lived in Kotzebue and has worked in Latin America.

Before entering the counseling field, Jeff spent two decades as a wood turner and sculptor. He is an ultradistance runner, a gardener, and he plays classical and jazz flute.

“I am honored to have been chosen as a part of the team at the Bill Brady Healing Center, and I look forward to serving and assisting the clients on their healing journeys,” Jeff said.
