Soldotna Troopers Arrest Woman on DUI, Five Counts of Endangering Welfare of a Child

DUI_Patrol_02A Soldotna woman was arrested by Alaska State Troopers for DUI and five counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child shortly after midnight on Monday morning, the trooper dispatch reported.

AST pulled over a vehicle for an equipment violation at 12:56 am on Monday on K-Beach Road near the Bridge Access road and contacted the driver of the vehicle. The driver was identified as 33-year-old Sarah Love of Soldotna.

As troopers investigated at the scene, they determined that Love was operating the vehicle under the influence. It was also found that there were five children inside the vehicle.

Troopers arrested Love on one count of DUI and five counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Love was transported to Kenai where she was remanded to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility and her bail was set at $3,000.

Troopers stated that marijuana was a contributing factor in the arrest.
