Alaska State Troopers arrested a hunter on Kodiak Island after he and his two companions were transported to Kodiak by the United States Coast Guard.
It was on Sunday morning that a report from Sea Hawk Air Service went in to the Alaska State Troopers reporting three hunters at a remote location on Kodiak Island had lost their tent in strong winds and were in danger of becoming hypothermic.
As a result of the report, the USCG was notified and a helicopter was dispatched to their location. The three hunters were picked up and transported to Kodiak.
An investigation of the three individuals revealed that one of the three, 35-year-old Kenai resident Zebadiah Carpenter had an outstanding arrest warrant for his arrest out of Soldotna for Reckless Driving and Failure to contact the Wildwood Pretrial Facility in Kenai.
After the three hunters were examined by emergency medical personnel, Carpenter was arrested by Alaska State Troopers and transported to the Kodiak Jail where he was remanded without bail pending arraignment.
