Investigators could not find any evidence that the man had taken part in the postal attack using the deadly castor bean extract. No traces of the substance or the tools to create the substance were found at the man’s home. No Internet searches connected with the manufacture of the deadly substance were found on the man’s computer either. An investigation has been initiated into the possibility that someone tried to implicate the man in the deadly plan.
He was released two hours after authorities cancelled hearings that were to be held against the man.
Authorities have turned their attention once again to another man whose house the investigators had already searched in the case.
No evidence could be gleaned from the envelope or its contents. The stamps used were self-adhesive and there were no fingerprints on the envelope or the letter.
Curtis stated after his release, that he respected the president and that the last week has been “a nightmare.”
