Talkeetna Motorist Hauled in after Disturbance Report

Alaska State Troopers tracked down and stopped a Ford Pickup after receiving a report of a disturbance in downtown Talkeetna on Saturday night.

Troopers received a report of a disturbance in Talkeetna at 11:38 and responded to the scene., The trooper investigation at the scene revealed that 45-year-old  Robert Reichert of Talkeetna “recklessly caused physical injury to a family member and intentionally broke two of the family member’s cellphones,” according to trooper dispatch. The two phones had a value of $500 according to the report.

When stopped at mile 2 of the Talkeetna Spur, Reichert was found to be operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license.

Reichert was arrested on that charge as well as the original charges of Assault IV, and Criminal Mischief IV.

The offender was transported to the Mat Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer where he was remanded and held without bail.
