Texas Charter Bus Rolls, Killing Eight and Injuring 44

A casino-bound charter bus rolled and crashed, killing eight and injuring 44 others on Saturday. Seven of the victims died at the scene, while the eighth died later at a Laredo hospital according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

According to the preliminary investigation, the driver of the bus, who was among the survivors, lost control of the vehicle just prior to it rolling over on Highway 83 approximately 43 miles north of Laredo.

The bus, owned and operated by OGA Charters was bound for an Eagle Pass casino about 125 miles north of Laredo.

A team from the National Transportation Board are arriving to investigate the wreck this morning to ascertain the cause of the crash. It had been raining in the area at the time of the incident.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
