After receiving a 911 call reporting a suspicious vehicle in the Palmer area, troopers responded to the scene to investigate. Their investigation resulted in several arrests.
It was at 5:45 pm on Thursday that troopers received the call reporting a suspicious vehicle in the East Reisner Lopp area. When they arrived at the area to investigate the incident, they made contact and interviewed several persons there.
Their investigations would find that four of those individuals had warrants for their arrest.
Shawn Schmidt, age 28 of Palmer was arrested for failure to comply with probation, on an original charge of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV. 34-year-old Palmer resident Justin Schmidt was arrested on a warrant for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV. 20-year-old Wasilla resident Cassandra Pitka was arrested for Minor COnsuming Alcohol. Justin Sundberg, age 31 of Palmer was arrested for DWLR.
All four individuals were transported to the MatSu Pretrial Facility where they were remanded.
S. Schmidt was held on $5,000 bail and a Court Approved Third Party Custodian. J. Schmidt was held on $5,000 bail. Pitka’s bail was set at $100, and Sundberg was held on $250 bail.
