Early Sunday morning, the Alaska State Troopers in Bethel received a call from Tuluksak that a neighbor had been banging on the door of the caller’s residence trying to gain entry for the past two hours. The caller reported that they had barricaded the door to prevent the intruder from gaining entry.
After receiving the 8 am call, troopers traveled to the community, and at 9:47 am, troopers went to the residence and contacted 47-year-old Jack W. Lamont of Tuluksak in the entryway of the residence still trying to gain entry.
When contacted, Lamont was attempting to utilize a piece of scrap metal to hammer on the front door of the home. Troopers estimate that Lamont did approximately $2,500 worth of damage to the entryway and equipment inside the entryway.
Troopers arrested Lamont and charged him with Criminal Mischief III and Criminal Trespass I. Lamont was transported to the Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center, where he was remanded.
