Alaska State Troopers went in search of a vehicle reported as a REDDI (Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately) in the Sterling area of the Sterling Highway on Tuesday.
One Tuesday morning at 10:54 am, troopers caught up to the reported vehicle at mile 84 of the highway.
The caller identified the driver of the vehicle as a female. When troopers stopped the vehicle, a black 2013 Ram 1500, they contacted 24-year-old Alicia Forbes and issued her a mandatory court citation and was released from the scene.
But, a passenger in her vehicle, identified as 29-year-old Franklin Scott, was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine as well as Buprenorphine, a semi-synthetic opioid. Further investigation found Scott to be in possession of a semi-automatic pistol.
Scott was arrested and charged with Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV and V as well as Misconduct Involving Weapons II.
Scott was transported to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility and held without bail.
