Anton Larsen Bay suffered another bout of vandalism over the weekend with vehicles damaged near the boat ramp there.
It was on Monday that troopers were notified that there were nine vehicles parked at the ramp that had their windshields and windows smashed sometime over the weekend.
Troopers have only been able to identify the victims of two of the damaged vehicles and say that most of the victims are not even aware of the vandalism that took place at the staging area.
Individuals living on the islands around Antons and in Port Lions regularly park their vehicles at the popular staging area, 17 miles west of the city of Kodiak, where they depart in their watercraft to outlying destinations. Many of the vehicles are parked there for weeks at a time.
Trooper haven’t identified any suspects in this latest incidence of vandalism and are asking the public for identities of the person or persons responsible for the felony crime.
Troopers say information can be reported anonymously through Crimestoppers at 907-486-3113 or to the Alaska State Troopers at 907-486-4121.
