Early Thursday morning at 3:50 AM Alaska State Troopers received a “Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately(REDDI)” report from an off-duty police officer who observed a vehicle swerving back and forth between lanes on the Chena Hot Springs Rd.

The call prompted troopers to respond and locate the green Ford F-250 reported in the call. A short time later troopers located the vehicle, which was now stuck in a ditch on Nordale Road.

Troopers contacted driver, and identified him as a 39-year-old William Richardson of North Pole. Their subsequent investigation found that Richardson was driving under the influence of alcohol.

Richardson was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. He was transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center, where he was remanded and his bail set at $1500.
