On Friday, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of an Assault taking place in Ninilchik. Their investigation resulted in the arrest of a Ninilchik man.
Troopers, after an investigation at the scene found that 43-year-old Kenny Kvasnikoff caused injury to a family member after grabbing and assaulting her.
Kvasnikoff had also broken a hair-dryer during the incident. So, he was charged with Criminal Mischief.
Further investigation found that Kvasnikoff had two prior Assault IV convictions in the last ten years. As a result of those prior convictions, Kvasnikoff was charged with Felony Assault III in this case.
Troopers determined that Kvasnikoff had been drinking at the time of the incident, and so was found to be in violation of his conditions of release on a pending case of Assault that occured in December of 2013.
Kvasnikoff was transported to the Homer Jail where he was remanded without bail.
Kvasnikoff is due back in court on this case on March 4th. In his previous assault case, Kvasnikoff is due back in court for trial call on April 14th, 2014.
