On Saturday, after receiving a 911 call reporting three intoxicated crewmembers aboard a fishing boat on the Naknek River, King Salmon State troopers and Bristol Bay Borough Police responded to the vessel.
With the assistance of an Alaska Wildlife Trooper boat, the officers were able to reach the vessel on the river.

After escorting the three men to shore, the vessel operator was given a field sobriety test, which he failed and was placed under arrest.
Another of the crewmembers was found to be highly intoxicated andd placed under protective custody.
The third crewmember was released at the dock.
While the vessel operator was undergoing datamaster testing, he suffered a medical condition and collapsed.
Medics responded to the police station and the man was transported to the Naknek Clinic for an unknown medical condition. He was later transported to the Dillingham Hospital for further evaluation.
He will be charged with a DUI at a later date.
