On Tuesday evening, troopers responded to a report of a disturbance at a Ketchikan residence, and instead found a marijuana grow operation.
Troopers responded to the Ketchikan residence following a report of a disturbance between to men at that location. Instead, during the investigation, they discovered a marijuana grow operation.
According to the trooper dispatch, the Alaska Bureau of Investigation’s Southeast Alaska Cities Against Drugs (SEACAD) task force was notified and they immediately responded to the scene to take over the investigation.
During the SEACAD investigation, it was found that there were 48 growing plants at the residence. Those plants had an aggregate weight of 47 ounces. 96 ounces of processed marijuana was also found at the residence.
Multiple counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance has been forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
