image08-04-2015 09.03.54Alaska State Troopers are asking the public for information on a Palmer man who fled the scene of a traffic accident on Monday evening. Although troopers identified the man as 29-year-old Phillip Duke, they did not provide a description or image of the suspect they are seeking.

Troopers responded to the scene of a two-vehicle traffic accident on Big Lake Road at the intersection of Woody Lake Drive at 6:45 pm on Monday.

The ensuing investigation at the scene discovered that Duke fled the scene on foot prior to the arrival of authorities. The investigation revealed that Duke, while driving a 1996 Nissan Pathfinder, attempted a left turn onto Woody Lake Drive from Big Lake Road when he failed to yield to on-coming traffic. As a result, Duke collided with a 2006 Hummer H3 driven by 42-year-old Brandy Beeson of Wasilla.

According to troopers, “Duke has an outstanding warrant for his arrest on the charges of Theft IV and Criminal Trespass II.” He was also found to be driving on a suspended driver’s license.

Troopers ask that anyone with information as to Duke’s whereabouts to call them at 745-2131, or Crime Stoppers at 746-3333.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
