Fairbanks-based Alaska State Troopers as well as a VPSO traveled to the community of Venetie on Wednesday in response to a seemingly out of control resident there the trooper dispatch reports.
On Wednesday, troopers traveled to Venetie after they received reports of Venetie resident, 30-year-old Vincent Roberts wreaking havoc in the community.
Reports coming from the community stated that Roberts had been discharging a firearm repeatedly through the night. In addition, Roberts was reported to have broken out windows with rocks on several houses. It was also reported that Roberts had stolen items as well as destroyed property and assaulted residents during his rampage.
After traveling to the community, troopers contacted Roberts on two occasions. But, Roberts would flee the authorities both times on a four-wheeler. After those initial contacts, troopers could not locate Roberts again.
Troopers report that they are continuing their investigation into the incident.
