Alaska Ste Troopers stumbled upon a Marijuana grow operation in the community of Ambler on Saturday while executing a search warrant searching for an alcohol manufacturing operation at a residence there.

This weekend, while carrying out a search warrant to investigate a homebrew operation 42-year-old Charles Penn and 29-year-old Denise Williams, both of Ambler were contacted and arrested on charges of alcohol manufacturing in a local option community.
While serving the waarrant on the residence, troopers came across a small marijuana grow operation in the home.
Both of the suspects were transported to Kotzebue where they were remanded to the Kotzebue Regional Jail.
Ambler, with its population of approximately 258, is located on the north bank of the Kobuk River 45 miles north of the Arctic Circle 138 miles northeast of Kotzebue.
The investigation into the discovery is continueing.
