An accident on the Parks Highway took the lives of two Monday evening.
Alaska State Troopers and Alaska Wildlife Troopers responded to a report of a head-on collision at mile 152 of the Parks Highway at 5:50 pm on Monday to find that two people were killed and another two seriously injured.
The investigation at the scene revealed that a 2003 Lincoln Navigator driven by 27-year-old Wilton Florencio Villa of Anchorage was traveling southbound on the Parks Highway with one passenger when he encountered he crossed over into the northbound lane into the path of a 2000 Saturn SL driven by 33-year-old Dontaveon Green of Fairbanks. Green had one passenger in his vehicle, 23-year-old Patricia Williams also of Fairbanks.
Neither Green nor Williams survived the collision.
Villa and his passenger were transported to the Providence Medical Center via LifeMed helicopter with serious injuries.
