Troopers responded to a disturbance at the Willow Creek Campground in Willow early Saturday morning at 5 am. after a call came in reporting an incident there.
When troopers arrived, they contacted 35-year-old Samuel Palmer of Wasilla and issued him a verbal warning for his conduct at the campground.
Approximately a half-hour later, troopers received a REDDI Report informing the troopers that Palmer had drove away from the campground following his contact with troopers and did so while intoxicated.
Troopers located the REDDI vehicle at mile 69 of the Parks Highway and pulled Palmer over due to the REDDI Report. Palmer was determined to be driving under the influence and so was placed under arrest. It would be found that Palmer had been arrested for Felony DUI within the last ten years, making this arrest a Felony as well.
Palmer was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and remanded there on Felony DUI charges with his bail set at $10,000 and a Court Approved Third Party Custodian.
