Wasilla Man Barricades Self, Apprehended by K9 ‘Blazer’

trooperarrestA 19-year-old man barricaded himself into a garage at an address on Catrina Circle on Saturday when troopers arrived at the residence according to the trooper dispatch.

Troopers arrived at the address on Catrina Circle at 7:41 pm looking for Joshua “JD” Sherrick of Wasilla in connection with a $20,000 arrest warrant for charges of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance III and IV.

Troopers attempted to contact Sherrick after he had been seen inside the house.

But, Sherrick would go into the residence’s garage and barricade himself in the troopers say. Troopers brought in Trooper K9 “Blazer” to locate Sherrick in the residence, which the K9 did. “Sherrick was taken into custody, and after being treated for injuries sustained during K9 apprehension, he was remanded into custody,” troopers report.

Sherrick was taken to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility with his bail set at $20,000.
