Wasilla Man on Motorcycle Pulls Weapon Outside of Talkeetna Home

A Wasilla man was arrested on firearm and alcohol charges after an incident on Dragonfly Hollow Drive on Thursday afternoon.

Troopers received a call from a residence in Talkeetna at 4:18 pm reporting an intoxicated man brandishing a firearm outside the home.

They responded to the residence and arrested 33-year-old Joseph Garner Jr of Wasilla without incident.

According to the trooper dispatch,  their investigation would determine that Garner had pulled up ion his motorcycle near the residence clearly under the influence. Nearby residents offered assistance to the man who would pull up into the driveway of the residents.

When the residents went into their home, troopers say that Garner pulled a firearm and attempted to enter their residence.

After being arrested, Garner was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held on charges of DUI, Assault III, and Misconduct Involving Weapons IV.

Garner’s bail was set at $5,000.
