The Connecticut woman, Miriam Carey, who was shot and killed by police after taking them on a high-speed chase past the capitol after crashing into a barrier at the White House was suffering from postpartum depression according to her mother.
Her mother, Idelia Carey told ABC News on Thursday night that Miriam Carey was suffering from postpartum depression after giving birth to her daughter Erica in August of 2012. Her mother related that her condition was so intense that at one point she had to be hospitalized for her condition.
