A 20-year-old Nenana man died in a vehicle crash 10 miles north of Nenana at mile 314, Alaska State Troopers reported on Tuesday.
20-year-old Johanne Nolywaika died at the scene after his vehicle, a Volvo Sedan, was T-boned by a pickup truck at just after 6 pm on Monday.
According to the trooper report posted on the trooper dispatch, Nolywaika, died at the scene, after he pulled out of a driveway at that location, into the path of a southbound Dodge pick-up driven by 65-year-old Nico Limon.
Both Limon, from Healy, and a passenger in the pick up, 43-year-old Crystal Mulcahy, of Fairbanks were injured in the crash and transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. The extent of their injuries were unknown at the time of the trooper posting.
The highway was closed until 11:30 pm. Next of kin for the deceased were notified of the accident.
