GLENNALLEN
Red Cross damage assessment team reports 2 homes with major damage, 5 minor. The Copper Valley Community Library basement/crawlspace has water in it and Alaska Heritage Emergency Network is supporting their efforts to obtain fans to dry it out. DOT&PF continues to work with Granite Construction to install culverts along Moose Creek to address water overtopping the Glenn Highway. The Division of Forestry & Fire Protection has provided a Public Information Officer to assist the Glennallen incident command with disaster-related public information.
Other Areas
Buckland
Ice Jams above and below the community have release and water levels have dropped. Flood Warning has been canceled. River Watch Teams conducted Buckland River over flights yesterday. SEOC in contact with the Northwest Arctic Borough which is responding to community requests for pumps and gravel.
Kobuk
Flood Warning is in effect. State Emergency Operation Center has been in communication with the community. Northwest Arctic Borough is supporting request for assistance.
