Troopers Arrest Houston Burglar as He Tries to Enter Home

image28-04-2014 14.44.40A Houston man called in to 911 on Thursday morning at 6:44 am to report an unknown person attempting to gain entrance to his home on Corn Street.

Troopers arrived at the scene and contacted the man, who they identified as 32-year-old Kerry Niles, as he was walking around the house. Niles told troopers that he knew the homeowner and “was knocking on the doors and windows trying to get the home owner’s attention so the owner would let him in to get some of his items.”

Further investigation found that Niles had two outstanding warrants for for previous cases concerning several burglary and thefts.

Niles was arrested for the warrants and transported to Palmer, where he was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility with his bail set at $10,000 and a Court Approved Third Party Custodian requirements.
