Alaska State Troopers in Aniak revealed that they responded to a Domestic Violence incident, that was reported to have been hours long, in the community of Holy Cross on Tuesday and arrested an intoxicated man there on two counts of DV Assault I and two counts of DV Assault III.

According to the trooper report, 24-year-old Holy Cross resident Kyle William Anthony subjected a woman, who was reported to have been sober at the time of the incident, to four hours of severe abuse.

The trooper investigation revealed that Anthony had strangled the female approximately 7-8 times during that period, while also “punching the female in the face with a closed fist, kicking her in the face, jumping up and down on the females’ back, biting her, and breaking a cup and broom over the females’ head,” the trooper dispatch reported.

Troopers reported Wednesday morning that Anthony has been transported to Aniak to await arraignment and further transport to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Facility in Bethel.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
