An 18-year-old teen was airlifted from a ledge on Brown Mountain after suffering a fall on Tuesday afternoon troopers revealed on Wednesday.
The teen was hiking on the Brown Mountain trail with two others when she slipped and fell down the side of the mountain onto a ledge 80 feet below the trooper dispatch reported.
Following the fall, one hiker went for help while the other remained with the victim. The Ketchikan Volunteer Rescue Squad and Alaska Wildlife Troopers responded to the scene and the injured teen was lifted from the ledge by Temsco helicopter and transported to a waiting ambulance that took her to the Ketchikan Medical Center.
Although the teen suffered numerous cuts and bruises, no broken bones were reported.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
