Early Sunday morning, at approximately half past midnight, Troopers were notified of a gunshot death in Anchor Point.

According to the report, early yesterday morning, a friend of 40-year-old Demian Sagerser of Anchor Point, called the Alaska State Troopers to report that their friend had been discovered deceased.

The Alaska State Trooper’s preliminary investigation sugggests that Sagerser died from more than one gunshot wound and his death is being investigated as a homicide by the Alaska Bureau of Investigations in Soldotna.

A final determination as to Sagerser’s cause of death will be made after an autopsy by the State Medical Examiner’s office in Anchorage.
