At approximately 10:41pm on Saturday, the Alaska State Troopers were informed that a person had escaped from the North Star Center in Fairbanks.
Troopers went to the facility and began their investigation and search. During their search for the escapee, 26-year-old Fairbanks resident Nichole Freeman, they found that a second person was gone from the facility.

The second escapee was determined to be 24-year-old Holly Charlie. A short time later, Charlie was located a short distance away from the center. She was found to be violating the conditions of her probation and remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center where she was held without bail.
According to the trooper dispatch, Freeman was last seen in a vehicle heading toward Nenana. The troopers are asking that anyone aware of Freeman’s whereabouts to contact them in Fairbanks at 451-5100.
