A report went in to the Alaska State Troopers of a Hit and Run in Girdwood on early Saturday morning at 12:31 am.

The callers reported that the vehicle left the scene. Responding Troopers located the vehicle driving down the highway without their headlights on.

Troopers pulled the vehicle over and identified the driver as 21-year-old Kenai resident Jacob Tuttle. Another person was also in the vehicle along with Tuttle. That person was identified as 20-year-old Kenai resident Connor Hamman.

An investigation at the vehicle stop wouuld find weapons in the vehicle. The passenger, Hamman became uncooperative with the officer, and was arrested for disorderly conduct, Resisting Arrest and Minor Consuming Alcohol. As the investigation at the scene continued, Tuttle was found to have been drinking and was subsequently arrested for DUI.

Both occupants of the vehicle were transported and remanded to the Anchorage Jail. Tuttle’s bail was set at $250. Hamman was jailed without bail.

As of Saturday, Tuttle was released on bail and his charging document is pending.

Hamman was arraigned on Saturday afternoon and his bail was set at $500 and a Third Party Court Approved Custodian.
