Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a burglary at the Big Lake Motel early Tuesday morning at 6:55 am. While there, troopers contacted 25-year-old Anchorage resident Karen R. Douglas.

Troopers found that Douglas was in possession of a controlled substance and also hindered their investigation.

Further investigation into Douglas would find that she also had an arrest warrant for failure to appear on the original charge of Failure to Maintain Liability Insurance.

Douglas was arrested and charged with Misconduct involvinga controlled substance II, Hindering Prosecution I, and the warrant. She was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and her bail was set at $20,250.
