A Wasilla man rolled his Dodge pickup several times after leaving Alaska State troopers on a high-speed chase down Bogard Road on Monday night.
Alaska State troopers attempted traffic stop on a blue Dodge pickup near the intersection of Bogart In Main St., in Wasilla at 10:52 PM on Monday night after observing the vehicle commit multiple moving violations.
The vehicle failed to yield however and took the troopers on a high-speed pursuit approaching speeds of 95 mi./h. The pursuit ended as the dog crossed to the intersection of the Seward Meridian and Bogard. It was there that the driver, 36-year-old Wasilla resident, Jeremiah Coley lost control of his vehicle, drove into the ditch alongside the road and subsequently rolled several times
When troopers reached the vehicle, Coley was unresponsive and had to be removed from the vehicle by the troopers. Coley was extricated from the vehicle prior to the arrival of EMS due to trooper concerns that the vehicle could have potentially caught on fire.
Coley was transported by LifeMed helicoptere to Anchorage for treatment.
Troopers suspect that alcohol was a factor in the incident. The Alaska Bureau of Highway Patrol responded and took case responsibility, the investigation into the accident is continuing.
