Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a disturbance at a Fairbanks gas station during the early morning hours of Friday.
The suspect had fled the scene prior to the troopers arrival at the station. Troopers began their investigation of the incident at the station. Meanwhile,as troopers were looking into the report at the station, University of Fairbanks police located the vehicle and attempted to stop the driver. The driver, later identified as 36-year-old Galena resident Brook Bryant, would have none of it though, and took the police on a chase instead.
State troopers and UAF Police pursued the fleeing vehicle and after a short pursuit, the vehicle was stopped and the driver apprehended.
Bryant was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence, Failure to Stop at the Direction of a Peace Officer, Reckless Driving, Violating Conditions of Release, and Driving While License Revoked.
Bryant is currently on conditions of release for a felony DUI he was charged with in 2012.
