Anchorage Man Killed in Fatal Trapper Creek Rollover

A call  went in to the Alaska State Troopers at 12:16 pm on Saturday reporting a overturned vehicle on Petersville Road in Trapper Creek. The caller reported that the vehicle was overturned and that a deceased man was under the vehicle.

Troopers responded to the scene and initiated an investigation into  the fatal accident.

Their investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle, 37-year-old Thomas Tuthill Jr of Anchorage, had lost control of his vehicle as he was negotiating a sharp corner in the road  and veered  into a stand of trees. After impacting the trees, the vehicle rolled down the steep embankment at that location.

The investigation also revealed that Tuthill was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the incident.

Tuthill’s next of kin was notified of the accident and his death.

Tuthill’s remains were sent to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Anchorage. Troopers say that the investigation is on-going.
