Anchorage police have released the name of the man discovered dead on an island in the middle of Ship Creek, and report that they have not discovered any “immediate signs of foul play,” the department reported on Friday morning.
Anchorage police responded to the scene at Ship Creek on Wednesday morning, May 18th, at 9:30 am after receiving reports of a man laying face-down in the creek. The man was retrieved from the location and his body was turned over to the State Medical Examiner’s office for positive identification and cause of death. Police have released the man’s name as that of 45-year-old Dennis Haroldson.
