Anchorage Police Seek Man Who Robbed Walmart of Big-Screen TV

Anchorage police are still seeking information and location of a an Anchorage suspect who stole a TV from the DeBarr Street Walmart on Monday.

Anchorage police responded to the DeBarr Road Walmart just before 7 am on Monday morning after receiving a report of a robbery that had just occurred. When they conducted their investigation and spoke with the store manager, they found that a man carried out a 43-inch LED television from the store that had the alarm tag still attached. When the manager confronted the suspect, the man pulled out a large pair of scissors from his pocket and threatened the manager with them, then fled the scene with the TV.

A locate was aired to officers, who in turn, conducted a search of the area with no results.

Police report that the suspect is “a black male, between 6’1” to 6’4” with an athletic build, wearing a gray sweater, black pants, a red hat with ear flaps and black glasses.” They also report that “He had a short beard.”
