Anchorage Woman Arrested on Multiple Charges after Cooper Landing Disturbance Call

image28-04-2014 14.44.40When Soldotna-based Alaska State troopers responded to a call reporting a disturbance in Cooper Landing early Sunday morning, their investigation resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old Anchorage woman on the charge of DUI as well as several other charges, the trooper dispatch reports.

When troopers traveled to Cooper Landing at 2:16 AM, they contacted Esther Virginia Lloyd of Anchorage, the subject of the disturbance. Their subsequent investigation “revealed that Lloyd had operated her vehicle while impaired by alcohol.”

As troopers investigated the disturbance call further, their investigation would reveal that Lloyd had assaulted another woman at the scene, and had rammed that woman’s vehicle while the woman was inside.

There was damage to the vehicle another property, but no injuries were reported.

Lloyd was arrested for DUI, Assault III, Assault IV, Criminal Mischief III, and Criminal Mischief V.

Lloyd was transported to Kenai where she was remanded to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility. She would refuse to provide a sample of her breath to the Datamaster, and so would be additionally charged with Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

Lloyd was remanded without bail pending arraignment.
