Alaska State Troopers were was again notified on Wednesday, that an Aniak man, who had trespassed on several other occasions, had once again trespassed at the Aniak High School.
As a result of the notification, 60-year-old John Thomas Simeon was contacted and arrested on charges of Criminal Trespass II, and Violation of Conditions of Release.
Simeon has been arrested on six similar Criminal Trespass charges in the last year and a half. In three of the cases in 2015, it was ruled that Simeon was “incompetent,” but, in the next two cases in April and May of 2016, he was released on his own recognizance as he awaited court proceedings. According to online court records, Simeon is scheduled to attend court on August 30th.
It was reported by troopers in the trooper dispatch on September 30th, 2015, that Simeon was trespassing at the Aniak School in violation of an active Stalking/Sexual Assault Protective Order granted to an employee at the school. Simeon was convicted of Sexual Assault I in 1999 and ordered to serve 17 years with 2 suspended in Bethel Court.
Troopers report that Simeon was arrested and is awaiting transport to Bethel, where he will be remanded to the Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center with his bail set at $250.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
