Alutiiq Museum Granted $32,000 by Alaska State Council on the Arts

The Alutiiq Museum will receive $32,000 from the Alaska State Council for the Arts Operation Support program. The money will be distributed over two years. It is designed to provide foundational support for Alaska’s arts organizations by supporting ongoing artistic and administrative expenses.

Calcium Linked to Increased Risk of Heart Disease and Death in Patients with Kidney Disease

TORONTO, ON, — Kidney patients who take calcium supplements to lower their phosphorous levels may be at a 22 per cent higher risk of death than those who take other non-calcium based treatments, according to a new study by Women's College Hospital's Dr. Sophie Jamal.
