The woman found along the Pinky’s Park boardwalk on early Sunday was identified by Bethel Police on Monday. Police say that 23-year-old Eunice Whitman died from what appear to be multiple stab wounds. Her boyfriend, 24-year-old Justin Paul  has been arrested and charged with Murder I in connection with Whitman’s death.

By Sunday evening Bethel Police carried out a search warrant at Paul’s home in Bethel. Police say that evidence was found there that they believe links Paul with the murder of Whitman.

Paul, who is originally from Kipnuk, was arrested and transported to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center to await arraignment on the charge after he was interviewed by police.
