A Nenana man was sentenced in Federal Court on Friday for his connection in the violation of federal wildlife laws, the Lacey Act, the Marine Mammal Protection Act and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
One of two men charged with illegally taking a walrus on Round Island in May of 2011 was sentenced in U.S. District Court on Thursday of last week.
At approximately 7:18 pm on Saturday Alaska State Troopers responded to North Nelchina Drive in Palmer for the report of a vehicle collision with a motorcycle with the driver of the motorcycle trapped beneath the vehicle.
Alaska State Troopers, Alaska Wildlife Troopers and the North Tongass Fire Department were notified of a residental fire at 6:02 pm on Friday.
