Begich Co-Sponsors Bill to Put Up to $200 Billion Towards Deficit Reduction

A rare 100-0 vote took place in the U.S. Senate just one scant hour after freshman Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas completed his filibuster delaying the vote on the House-passed temporary spending bill that excluded funding for President Obama's Healthcare program.

With only two Democrats voting for it and one Republican voting against it, the U.S. House passed a short-term spending plan to keep the government doors open until mid-December. But, missing from the plan is funding for President Obama's Healthcare law.
