Murkowski Cutting Through Red Tape for Charitable Food Donations

WASHINGTON, DC — Senator Lisa Murkowski has introduced legislation designed to increase the amount of food donations going to Native communities by amending the Federal tax code to make corporate charitable donations of food to Indian tribes tax deductible.

Confusion Abounds in Tuntutuliak Search and Rescue

Alaska State Troopers were notified on Tuesday by the Village Police Officer in Tuntutuliak, Sally Andrew, who relayed to them that it was reported by a traveler that two intoxicated men on the river trail outside of Tuntutuliak had possibly suffered a snow machine breakdown.
